Custom Waffle Maker
Getting Started
The custom waffle, cone or pizzelle makers that FeLion Studios creates are American made using pre-seasoned commercial grade cast iron plates that are customized with your unique design. The cast iron plates are installed into Equipex brand NSF certified commercial electric appliances and shipped directly to your location, ready to use on day one.
Every appliance comes with a 1-year limited warranty, and a lifetime of customer support from the FeLion Studios team. There are 2 models available, and an optional 120v or 208/240v plug for the single waffle baker. EU plug options are available for our international customers.
Budget Expectations
Custom waffle iron appliances have a mix of variable and fixed costs that generally look like this:
*$3200-$4500 USD*. Variable pricing depends on the graphic and design complexities of each project, and file quality provided by the customer. This is a one-time fee per unique design of the project.
$3500 USD / per single custom waffle maker appliance ordered. The double wide appliance model is like 2 single models assembled into a more compact appliance body, and costs $7,000 USD each.
Based on package or pallet size, weight, and ship-to location. There are three (3) domestic USA shipments involved in the production of our custom machines.
Need More Than One?
You can order additional waffle makers with the same custom design with no minimum quantities. We offer a 5% discount on production costs after six appliances from one purchase order.
Customization Zone
The customization area is 9″ x 9″ x 1.5″ (deep), allowing for any shape or size within these measurements to be crafted into your menu using personalized waffles, waffle cones or pizzelle creations.
Cooking with cast iron plates in the Equipex commercial appliance means you have a powerful and creative work horse machine designed with a small countertop footprint that does not require the use of overhead hood ventilation.

Easy to move around without redesigning your kitchen’s workflow, this UL and NSF commercially certified appliance is perfect for food trucks, tradeshow booths, and any commercial kitchen setup. Electric waffle makers are reliable, safe and consistent with powerful heating elements that are thermostatically controlled between 200 ˚F up to 570˚F for fast preheat and 1:1 bake time recovery.
The standard lead time is 4 -5 months for the first 3 waffle makers after the start of the project. Projects requiring quicker delivery turn around are subject to Rush Fees.
Is there a specific event date or other deadline that we need to consider? Please tell us about important target dates or if there is some flexibility with delivery dates to help provide a scope of your project before estimates are sent.
IMPORTANT: Projects starting in Q4 need a minimum of 5 months due to holiday manufacturing disruptions.
Confirm the L x W x H (thickness) or the “diameter x thickness” dimensions on your custom waffle, cone or pizzelle. This informs us of how many waffles could fit into the customization zone for 1 waffle maker.
Fill out how many people you would need to serve per hour, or per day, or per event.
We use this information in combination with your defined “serving size” dimensions, to determine how many machines you may need to serve the estimated volumes at your location or event.
Something to consider early on is the power availability at your location in relation to which appliance model is selected. There are 2 appliance models to choose from, but only the single GES waffle maker model can be ordered with the option of a 120V or 240V plug.
The double GED waffle makers are only available with 240V plugs on that appliance, and requires two (2) 240v outlets to run each waffle maker on them.
Another consideration is power efficiency. The 120V appliance requires a full 14 amps on a dedicated circuit to run each waffle maker effectively, while the 240V appliances draw only 7.5amps per machine. Be sure to check your power options before deciding which plug to choose, and weigh out the energy usage needed for each before planning to bring one of these high powered appliances into your location.
Prepare your logo or graphic art file as a two-dimensional, black + white, single layer high quality vector file such as an Adobe Illustrator file (.ai) or exported .dxf file from your native design files. if you have it! This is an ideal file format that we can export the file types needed to build the logo in CAD. If you have a more specific waffle shape / profile or logo layout in the design that you want to create, sending us pencil sketches is even helpful to understanding the scope of the design needs associated with your project, and creating something ideal for your vision!
Cast Iron plates have a 1:1 bake + recycle time. For every minute of bake time, the appliance needs ~1 minute to recover the iron plates back up to baking temp.
Example 1: A thin 3/8” thick (.375”) waffle makes 1 waffle every 1.5 min. at a 450 F temp setting. This is conservatively 12-14 waffles / hour, depending on how quickly batter gets put into the maker, and how consistent the operator is.
Example 2: A waffle cone 1/8 thick (.125") bakes 1 cone every 1 minute 20 seconds at a 400 F temp setting. This is conservatively 10-15 cones / hour depending on if the operator needs to also roll the cone in between bake-out batches.
Example 3: A Belgian style waffle at 8" x 1" thick bakes for 3 minutes at 350 F temp setting (depending on crispiness and color preferences). Conservatively this is 6-8 waffles / hour.
More bake time is required with thicker batter, or on custom designs that have dense areas without waffle grids on them.
Bake times are estimates, since there are many variables such as mix ingredients, thickness of the iron plate design and temperature settings needed to achieve the crispiness and color preference. Time needed to dispense the batter, assemble the plated order or clean residue between batches adds ~1 minute.
